 In 2004-2005, the state of New Mexico had a total of 326,109 students enrolled in 834 public schools across the state. According to our most recent data, in 2004 New Mexico spent $914 per student on public school facility construction.
In June 2009, US Department of Education approved New Mexicos application for Fiscal Stabilization Funds. New Mexico identified no funding for K-12 public school construction.
